The Ladies Lidl league semi finals throw in this weekend. The interest for the Northern Sound region will be on Sunday with Monaghan taking on Kerry in Tuam in the Division 2 semi final, in what is a repeat of the 2021 last 4 meeting which Kerry won by free kicks. Monaghan got their league campaign off to the perfect start with a victory over Cavan and looked like they had followed that victory up with another win over Tyrone, before the result of that game was changed to a draw a number of days afterwards. However enough had been done to secure a semi final spot. Armagh and Laois contest the other semi final on Saturday at 2pm in Drogheda.
