Local success at World Masters athletic championships

There is good news from the World Masters Athletic championships in Finland as Monaghan's Donna Evans has claimed gold in the Women's 55 8k cross country. The Clones athletic club runner posted a time of 31:07 over a minute ahead of 2nd placed Natalia Turysheva of Ukraine. Kerrys Niamh O Sullivan took gold in the Women,s 60 8k in a time of 29:29

Tomorrow (Friday) will see Denise Toner take to the track in the Women's 40 800 meters.
