The Cavan champions overcame Carrickmore of Tyrone while Corduff lost out in their Intermediate final

It was an evening of mixed fortunes for the Northern Sound teams contesting Ulster club finals. At the 3G pitch at Kingspan Breffni, Lurgan ladies rounded out their year with an Ulster minor club title when they comfortably overcame the defending champions Carrickmore by 3-11 to 1-06. The Cavan champions took early control of the game and were never headed as they opened up a 1-08 to 1 point lead at the break and added further goals in the 2nd half to run our comfortable winners. Niamh Tolan was named player of the match. Having gotten married on Saturday past manager Niamh Daly was prepared for a busy weekend as the fixture was originally fixed for Sunday but it was re-scheduled due to a frozen pitch. She remarked after last nights victory that it was unbelievable to be Ulster champions

At the Athletic grounds in Armagh, Corduffs run through the Ulster Intermediate championship came to an abrupt stop when they went down to Galbally by 5 points to 1-09. Only 1 point separated the sides at the break with the Tyrone champions leading 5 points to 4, however a goal from Barry Carberry in the early stages of the 2nd half seen Galbally take control of the encounter and they ran out 7 point winners. Manager Seamus Mc Enaney had no complaints with the result
