Lurgan ladies miss out on Ulster minor football title

The Lurgan ladies footballers missed out on an Ulster minor football crown following a 3-3 to 0-8 defeat to Carrydyff at Augher, county Tyrone.

The first half was evenly contested. The sides were tied at 1-1 to 0-4 at half-time.

Onora Macken (two), Megan Brady and Emma Tolan on target for Lurgan. Meanwhile, Sian O’Neill with a penalty goal for Carryduff.

Indeed two second-half goals helped Carryduff to a four-point victory. O’Neill (penalty) and Cara Donnelly finding the net for the Down side.
