Maeve Monaghan of Emmet Óg has won The Croke Park Hotel/LGFA Player of the month award for September 2025.
Maeve (24) played a starring role as Emmet Óg made history on Sunday September 28 by claiming the Monaghan senior title for the very first time.
Having come through the challenge of Emyvale at the semi-final stage. Emmet Óg won a dramatic Farney County decider against competition specialists and former All-Ireland champions Donaghmoyne.
After the sides were level at half-time, Emmet Óg eventually prevailed by just a single point, 3-6 to 0-11. Maeve’s all-action display earned her the Player of the Match award.
However, Emmet Óg’s thoughts now turn to the provincial championship. The Monaghan side travel to Cavan’s Lurgan Ladies for a quarter-final clash next Sunday, October 19.
