Maguire two under after day one

Leona Maguire finished tied for 26^th after day one of the Marathon LPGA classic in Ohio shooting a two under par 69.

Maguire shot birdies at the par three eighth and at the par four ninth and 12^th. A bogey at 11 saw Maguire finish two under par, eight shorts off leader Nasa Hataoka of Japan on 10 under.

American Lauren Stephenson is second on six under par.

Maguire was selected for Tokyo 2020 last week with the competition just three weeks away.
