It was mixed fortunes for the Basketball teams of the region in the national leagues at the weekend. In the Womens Super League Mc Evoy Cavan Eagles suffered a 68 to 49 loss to the Waterford Wildcats. The Breffni side sit 7th in the league table. While in the mens first division it was a busy weekend for the Carrick cruisers as they lost out narrowly to the Dublin lions on Friday night 81 points to 86 but made up for it yesterday evening with a comfortable 102 to 79 win over Ulster University.
