Monaghan record their second win of the season as they scored a 2-8 to seven point to Louth.
Goals in either half from Thomas Hughes and Pearse McKenna sealed the victory which keeps Monaghan’s promotion hopes alive.
The farney led 1-6 to three points at half-time thanks to points from Mark Treanor, Luke McKenna 0-4 (3f) and Conor Flynn.

The Monaghan team were never under pressure and Pearse McKenna’s goal sealed the win with insurance points from Fergal Rafter f and Hughes.
Monaghan sit in second place in the 3A table put have played a game more than their nearest rivals.
