Round 2 of the Allianz Hurling leagues throws in this weekend. First up will be Monaghan when the face Lancashire at the Abbotstown Centre of Excellence in Dublin tomorrow at 1pm in Division 4. The Farney side suffered a heavy loss to promotion favourites Sligo in round 1 with manager Arthur Hughes noting that winter hurling is not the easiest place to develop new players
That outing will be a first for Lancashire who had a bye in Round 1.
Both Cavan and Longford got off to a winning start in the Division when they accounted for Warwickshire and Leitrim respectively in Round 1. They meet tomorrow (Saturday) at 2pm in Glennon Brothers Pearse Park. Breffni manager Ollie Bellew knows they will face a tougher test this weekend
