The Northern Sound teams are carrying good form at the moment

Both Monaghan and Cavan continue their Allianz National football league campaigns this weekend. In Division 1 Monaghan make the trip to Salthill to take on Galway with both sides on 4 points and knowing that a win for either could go along way to securing top flight football for 2024. Back to back wins for Monaghan in rounds 3 and 4 will have given them a major confidence boost while Galway have drawn with Mayo and Donegal, beaten Tyrone and lost to Roscommon in their opening 4 games. Throw in on Sunday is at 12:45.We will have coverage of that fixture on Sunday sport with thanks to Flack Brothers Monaghan, your main Peugeot dealer.

In Division 3 Cavan are unbeaten with 4 wins and another 2 points this weekend should possibly secure a league final spot and more importantly promotion to Division 2. The Breffni men welcome fellow promotion hopefuls Down to Kingspan Breffni on Sunday at 2pm. Conor Laverty's side have registered wins over Tipperary, Antrim, and Westmeath. Their loss came at the hands to Fermanagh who are currently 2nd in the league table by virtue of the head to head rule. Cavan's league form has been impressive considering they are still welcoming back more of the experienced players and manager Mickey Graham remarked that it is leaving great competition for places on the panel
