Monaghan saw their Ulster U20 championship campaign come to an end last night at the hands of Armagh.
The Farney side needed a draw or win in the Athletic grounds to progress in the competition. The visitors looked set to progress, leading by four points at half-time by 1-11 to 1-07.
However, a blistering second-half from the hosts saw them register a further two goal.
Whereas, Monaghan pulled a goal back it was not enough with the Orchard county going through to the quarter-final on a score line of 3-16 to 2-14.
Meanwhile, Cavan suffered a 1-26 to 2-13 defeat to Derry in Kingspan Breffni. However, had already secured their place in the knock out stages. The result see’s Derry top the group with three wins from three.
Elsewhere in Group A Tyrone were 2-24 to 10 point winners over Antrim. Fermanagh and Down will meet this evening with both sides still in with a chance to qualify for the next round.
