David McCague has taken over the role of manager following the suspension of Seamus Mc Enaney

Monaghan footballers get their Allianz National football league underway this Sunday  (16th) against Armagh in Brewster Park Fermanagh at 3pm. The neutral venue been chosen for this encounter following a breach of Covid 19 regulations by the Monaghan team which has also resulted in team manager Seamus Mc Enaney been suspended for 12 weeks.

Taking over the role is selector David Mc Cague, who was also part of the minor management with the Banty when they claimed the Ulster title in 2018. The Scotstown club man spoke to our reporter Sean Mc Caffrey, noting firstly that they had moved on from the controversy surrounding their collective training breach
