Monaghan Hurlers are set to make their return to competitive action for the first time in almost 7 months when they face Tyrone in the opening round of Division 3a of the Allianz National hurling league. The county retained their status in that division with a final day win over Louth in the early part of last year, before contesting the Nicky Rackard cup championship which seen them having their last game in November of 2020.
Manager of the side is Paul Hughes and he spoke to Sean Mc Caffrey during the week, noting how they had began their preparation for a return from before Christmas
