Monaghan hurling manager Arthur Hughes says that the sticky conditions made things difficult in Saturdays loss to Longford. He noted that despite emptying the bench during the game, his side lost their shape and the game got away from them. Longford overcame Monaghan, one-23 to 13 points in Saturdays Division Four National Hurling league clash.
