A raft of retirements among the more experienced members of the panel has seen the management team step down.

The Monaghan ladies county board will be looking to find a new senior inter-county management team following the current management stepping down from the position. A raft of retirements from the senior panel, including the Mc Anespie twins Ciara and Aoife, along with Ellen Mc Carron and Laura Mc Enaney has seen the manager Ciaran Murphy and his selectors decide not to take the extra year that they were ratified for at the begining of the month citing the need for a management team to be afforded at least 2 if not 3 years to rebuild the team, a timeline that they were not able to commit too at present.

Monaghan will contest Division 2 of the Lidl Ladies league in 2022, while they retained their senior status in the championship.
