While Meath and Laois are celebrating their All Ireland ladies football  success at the weekend, Antrim and Fermanagh are preparing to meet for a 2nd time after their draw in the Junior decider. Details of the time and venue for that fixture have yet to be confirmed but it will take place on August 13th.  Croke park played host to a triple header of football on Sunday past as well as honouring the Monaghan and Waterford teams of 1997 and 98. Angela Mc Mahon (Larkin) was on the Monaghan All ireland winning team of 97 when they overcame Waterford to add to their 96 success and missed out on a 3 in a row in 1998 when Waterford prevailed after a replay. Speaking from Croke Park she acknowledged it was a period of time which seen one of the best teams taking to the field

While the Monaghan team have been relegated to intermediate football for 2023 there is still plenty to be positive about as the minors will face Longford tomorrow evening at 7pm in the All Ireland "B" Final.
