Monaghan get their Ulster championship campaign underway this Saturday when they take on Down at 4:30pm. Having reached the decider last year, the home side will enter the game as favourites particularly as they face a Down team who were relegated from Division 2 and there was also reports of discontent between the players and management following a team bonding weekend. Our regular GAA Correspondent Fergal Monaghan when speaking to Sean Mc Caffrey noted that the favourites tag does not always sit well with the team
