Monaghan minor ladies are set to contest the All Ireland "B" final after their 1 point win over Kerry in the semi final last night (Wednesday) in Offaly. Down by 7 points at one stage, the Farney side put in a massive final quarter to come away with a 5-07 to 3-12 victory. Holly Mc Quaid was top scorer with 2 goals and 2 points with Aine Mc Quaid also getting 2 goals. Eabhan Sherry was the other forward to raise the green flag as well as contributing 2 points to the scoreboard. Sarah Tierney and Leah Connolly also raised white flags while midfielder Laura Mc Geown kicked the winner score with 2 minutes remaining. Longford will provide the opposition in the decider on August 3rd after they overcame Sligo 5-14 to 2-07.
