Monaghan Phoenix’s Daisy Walker has been selected for the Ireland team in the Women’s 4x400 at the European U20 championship.
It is not the first time the Monaghan Phoenix runner has been on International duty. Indeed, Walker was part of the mixed relay team in 2024.
Erin Friel from the Letterkenny club, Maria Zakharenko representing the Kilcoole club and Bray Runners Roisin Murray, along with Saoirse Fitzgerald of Lucan Harriers make up the team.

Fitzgerald is also selected for the 800m individual race. Whereas, Frank Buchanan of St Michael’s Enniskillen will take part in the 1500 metres.
The Irish team travel to Tampere, Finland for the championships between August 7th and 10th.
