3 Monaghan teams will contest championship games over the next 4 days.

The Monaghan U17 and Cavan U17 teams are in play this evening in the 2021 Ulster minor championship (Wednesday).

There is plenty of interest from a Northern Sound perspective.

Cavan take on Fermanagh in Kingspan Breffni. At the same time Monaghan take on preliminary round winners Donegal in St Tiernachs Park Clones. Monaghan U17 lost out in the delayed 2020 final a number of weeks ago.

It will be 1 of 3 championship encounters for the Farney county this week.

The U20's set to contest the re-scheduled provincial final on Friday evening against Down.

Afterwards the Monaghan senior team take on Tyrone on Saturday in Croke park with the Anglo Celt cup up for grabs.

Current Monaghan U17 manager Mark Counihan noted the development work that is happening within the county. And how is leading to the current run of success

We will have coverage of both those games this evening on a midweek sports special, with our coverage from St Tiernachs park been brought to you with thanks to Sam's Diner Coolshannagh.
