Monaghan U20's pay the penalty in All Ireland final

There was disappointment for the Monaghan U20's last night in Kingspan Breffni as they lost out on penalties to Westmeath in the All Ireland "B" final. Monaghan got off to a brilliant start when they raced into a 1-02 to 1 point lead, the goal coming from Tom Doherty inside the opening 5 minutes. However the Lake county replied with a goal of their own from Finn Duffy and took in a 1 point lead at half time. The 2nd half seen both sides trade scores as it finished 1-13 a piece and it was similar in extra time, where again they couldn't be separated as it finished 1-15 each. With the game going to penalties it was Westmeath who prevailed by 3 goals to 1. Monaghan manager Paul Curran noted his pride on how the side had performed
