Round 4 will see a number of teams looking victories to avoid the relegation battle

The Cavan senior football championship moves into Round 4 where a number of quarter final and relegation positions could be confirmed. Crosserlough the defending champions take on Gowna tomorrow evening in Kingspan breffni with the 2020 champions currently in 8th place on the table and certainly requiring a favourable result to keep them on track to make the quarter finals. Gowna are 2nd in the table on 2 wins from 2 outings. On Saturday Kingscourt and Lacken meet in Dolan Park at 5 with Mullahoran and Ramor United putting their perfect starts on the line at 7:30 in Kingspan Breffni. Shercock and Lavey meet on Sunday at 1pm with Ballinagh and Laragh United at 2 while what could be the tie of the weekend will see Cavan Gaels and Castlerahan go head to head at 7pm. Castlerahan who contested the final for 5 years in a row before making it back to back wins in 2018 and 19 are currently without a win in this years championship and will require a result on Sunday evening to make a move up out of the relegation battle
