Mullahoran narrowly beat Ballyhaise in a high scoring affair to finish in the top four of the Cavan SFC league phase.
Mullahoran raced into an early lead with Ballyhaise only registering a single point in the opening 15 minutes.
Tom Harten found the back of the Ballyhaise net on 16 minutes to move Mullahoran seven points clear.
Ballyhaise stayed in it and got back within a point thanks to a goal of their own from Michael Brady.

Mullahoran started strongly in the second-half thanks to a two-pointer free-kick from Cormac O’Reilly. However, Killian Brady’s goal brought Ballyhaise back within a goal of their opponents.
Mullahoran got the next handful of scores to seemingly pull away before Ballyhaise found their third goal through Michael Brady to make the closing stages nervy for the Mullahoran men.
They kept the scoreboard ticking over, and a late two-pointer from Cormac O’Reilly made the game safe for Mullahoran who sealed an important victory.
Mullahoran winning out 2-17 to 3-11. Indeed, Mullahoran will face Ramor United in the quarter-final, while Ballyhaise face Kingscourt Stars.
