The Monaghan U20 captain lost his life in a car accident following their semi final win over Donegal

The re-scheduled U20 ulster final will throw in this evening (Friday 30th) with Monaghan taking on Down in the Athletic Grounds in Armagh. Having overcome Donegal in the semi final with a 2nd half come back, the Monaghan team was devastated hours later when captain Brendan Og Duffy loss his life in a car accident. The tragic incident caused shock and sadness right across the county and country and the GAA community in particular. Ryan Wylie is the captain of the Monaghan senior team and he remarked that while as a player you turn your attention to the game, it is hard not to think of Brendan Og
