Counties with less than five clubs would be removed from the Allianz Hurling league

The proposals to remove counties without five hurling clubs from the national hurling league has been met with opposition.

The CCCC’s proposal would see Cavan, Fermanagh, Longford, Leitrim and Louth removed from the Allianz hurling league from 2025.

Whereas, the proposal would see the Lory Meagher Cup expanded from five games per team to seven or eight games.
