The GAA's president Jarlath Burns has revealed that August All-Ireland finals could return in 2027. The showpiece games are currently slated for July, and Burns confirmed that concerts already scheduled for Croke Park means that a move to August in 2026 is not viable. Burns has also expressed a preference for drawn provincial finals going to replays, rather than penalty shootouts to decide the winner on the day. But he stresses that the Association want a solution that eases any concerns from the GAA community
