This year’s route for the Ras Tailteann has been announced and it will feature a stage finish in Monaghan town on May 20th. The race begins from Navan on the 17th of May with this year’s event been longer and tougher as it features 14 categorized climbs over 5 days of racing. Stage 4 will be the longest as it travels from Charlestown in Co. Mayo to the finish in Monaghan covering 175.9km’s. Local cyclist and member of the Moynalty club James Mc Enaney competed in his first RAS last year and speaking to our reporter Sean Mc Caffrey he noted how much he is looking forward to this year’s event
