Raymond Galligan has stepped down as manager of Cavan senior footballers after two years in charge.
Galligan confirmed to the Anglo-Celt that his two-year tenure is over as work commitments have impacted Galligan’s time with the side.
Galligan steered Cavan to the preliminary quarter-final stage of this year’s championship after a memorable win over Mayo in Castelbar.
The Cavan county board, now begin the search for the third manager in three years following Galligan and Mickey Graham.

In his time in charge Galligan to third and fourth place finishes in Allianz League division two. Whereas, the Breffni had two championship win over Monaghan (Ulster 2024) and Mayo (All-Ireland 2025).
