The first round of The Rallysport Association NI Winter championship takes place on Saturday and Sunday at the superb St Angelo, Enniskillen Airport in Co Fermanagh.
This is the first ever visit for the RSA at this renowned venue for alternative motorsport. This two day event due to the high volume of entries from both North and South of Ireland and beyond.
The unique RSA event formula has become popular with competitors and spectators due to the non-stop high-speed action from a wide and diverse range of rally cars. The fastest growing development in European motorsport, the incredibly exciting internationally manufactured motor cycled engine racing buggies.
This weekend will be divided over the 15 different class structures. Saturday is for rally cars only and will include WRC & R5 rally cars, turbo charged Subarus and Mitsubishi EVO’S. Together with a host of phenomenally fast rear and front wheel drive Ford Escorts, Honda Civics and many more. Also included our junior class for 1200cc cars for 12yrs +.
Entries include former multiple Irish tarmac champion Andrew Nesbitt with his regular navigator from those great years, James O’Brien. Junior World Rally Car front runner Jon Armstrong is also entered together with British Champion Josh McErlean, Kieron Graffin and Donegal’s Aaron Mclaughlin and Kevin Wilson all driving R5 high performance cars.
Sunday will have over 100 competitors in the European manufactured racing Cross Karts with 600–1000cc motorbike race engines together with 28 of the one make Mini Cup cars. Both adult and junior competitors (12 yrs+) and the phenomenally fast Mazda MX5 Challenge rear wheel drive cars.
Local World rally car championship navigator Aaron Johnston is taking ‘time out’ in the driver’s seat of a 750cc Casmat Cross Kart sharing the drive with top Donegal navigator Mac Walsh.

Spectators are welcomed from 9am each day and early risers will enjoy access to the driver’s service area and will be able to experience first-hand the pre-event preparation, car scrutineering the general competitor/organization and competitors build up to the event which commences at 10am.
With adult admission only £15/€15, junior admission £10/€10 and Seniors and under twelves enjoying a free entry, what better excuse to get outside and enjoy a superb Autumn weekend with family and friends.
