Second-half comeback sees Cavan minors beat Fermanagh

Cavan produce a remarkable comeback to beat Fermanagh 0-18 to 3-6 in the Ulster MFC at Brewster Park in Enniskillen.

Fermanagh were six points clear at the break as goals from Cian O’Brien, Cal McAnespy and Dylan Boyle saw them lead 3-4 to 0-7.

Cavan subsequently  made it a four-point game before four points from Lorcan Reilly and one from Cian Keaney pushed them a point clear with eight minutes remaining.

The Breffni men finished stronger and out-scored Fermanagh 0-4 to 0-2 thereafter resulting in a three-point victory.

Cavan now march on to round three of the Ulster MFC while Fermanagh’s have exited the competition.
