Aishling Sheridan’s Collingwood booked their place in the AFLW preliminary finals next weekend afer they saw off North Melbourne.
Collingwood scored a 7.8 (50) to 7.2 (44) victory over North Melbourne with Cavan star Sheridan claiming 13 disposals and eight kicks and registering two behinds.
Mayo’s Sarah Rowe chipped in with 12 disposals and nine kicks. North Melbourne were leading by 14 points heading into the final quarter of the tie, but Collingwood.
Sheridan becomes the first Cavan player to make this stage of the AWFL. Collingwood will face the Brisbane Lions in a prelim at the Gabba next Saturday afternoon.
