Stephen Rice has stepped down as the Republic of Ireland's under-21 assistant manager to join Brentford.
Rice was confirmed as Keith Andrews' set-piece coach. The pair worked together in the Ireland set-up for three years under Stephen Kenny.
"Stephen has been an outstanding member of our coaching staff and has made an important contribution since joining the U-21s setup” said Republic of Ireland U-21 Head Coach Jim Crawford. “He leaves with our sincere thanks for his hard work and dedication and we wish him all the very best for the future."
In a statement the FAI thanked Rice; “for his commitment and professionalism during his time with the Association and wishes him every success in his new role”.
Rice spent one season on loan with Monaghan United in his playing career.
