Cavan lost out to Tyrone in the Ulster minor football final in Enniskillen.
Tyrone raced into a four point lead inside the opening four minutes. However, points from Faolan Graham and Jake Brady got Cavan back into the game.
A fine two-pointer from Dylan Brouder on the 23rd minute brought Cavan level before a Nathan Quigley goal on the stroke of half time gave Ed O’Hanlon’s side the lead for the first time.
Tyrone grew back into the game in the second half, Cathal Farley’s goal in the 36th minute of the second-half changing the complexion of the game once more.
The sides remained level for a large period before a second goal for Tyrone from man of the match Joel Kerr made things difficult for Cavan to retrieve.
Tyrone then got the next three scores to win the game by a margin of six points. Tyrone winning out 2-11 to 1-8.
