Cavan Superintendent, Padraic Jones is set to leave the district following a promotion.
Cavan Monaghan Division's Chief Superintendent, Alan McGovern, made the announcement during a recent Joint Policing Committee meeting.
Superintendent Jones is expected to take up his new role shortly.

Chief Superintendent McGovern said Superintendent Jones would be missed and he wished him well in his future endeavours.
Superintendent Jones is originally from Co Longford and served as a Garda and inspector in the Longford/Roscommon division before being promoted to superintendent at Cavan Garda Station.
