Monaghan Fire and Civil Protection attended 33 emergency calls during the month of May. Incident call outs attended were dominated by road traffic accidents, ambulance and garda assists, gorse fires and monitoring alarm calls.
The fire service also attended two diesel wash incidents. Monaghan Fire Service also assisted the Northern Ireland Fire Service in early June with a significant gorse fore on the northern side of Sliabh Beagh.
