A Monaghan prayer group is celebrating it's 50th anniversary this year.
The Monaghan Charismatic Prayer Group was set up in 1975 by Fr Ronnie Mitchell and Sister Elaine Sheridan and was based in Montfort House, Monaghan. The group meets every Monday in St Joseph's Pastoral Centre where they pray together and read the scriptures. Phillip McArdle has been a member of the prayer group for many years.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show this morning, Phillip says they are often a source of comfort for those suffering bereavements and tough times.
