The Cavan Monaghan Garda Division arrested a total of six drivers on suspicion of drink and drug driving last weekend.
According to Gardai, one of these drivers was observed driving on the incorrect side of the road with no lights on while approaching a bend.
Meanwhile, a disqualified driver was also detected by the policing operation.

While prosecutions are expected to follow in relation to those arrested, Gardai have advised the public to never drive under the influence.
