A Co Monaghan man has made history today in Co Galway.
Paralympian, Shane McLoughlin has taken his sixth Guinness World record after he pulled a 120 tonne ship this morning.
The Clones native is renowned for embarking on gruelling demonstrations of physical strength.
He has previously achieved five Guinness World records for truck pulling, now he will receive a sixth one for pulling a ship that can hold up to 450 people.
The local man says he is highlighting that any amputee can do anything that an abled bodied person can do.
He also was assisted this morning by a 6 year old girl from Co Galway who is also an amputee. The local man will feature on this evenings news on TG4 for his endeavours.
