Tomorrow's monthly meeting of Monaghan County Council has been postponed as counting for the 34th Dáil constituency of Cavan-Monaghan continues.
Cathaoirleach of Monaghan County Council, Sinn Féin's Cathy Bennett and last year's Cathaoirleach Councillor David Maxwell of Fine Gael are still at the Cavan Leisure Centre waiting to find out if by tomorrow they will be TDs.
Earlier, returning officer Joseph Smith indicated he will keep the count running until all five Cavan-Monaghan seats are filled. So, regardless of the results both Monaghan councillors will have put in a long shift.
