Carrickmacross Festival returns this weekend. The June Bank Holiday Street Festival has been the 'event of the year' in Carrickmacross since it was first established in 2001. Furthermore, it has continued to grow in size, and popularity, every year since.
There is an open invitation to people to come and enjoy this free, for-all-ages, event. Each year, the June Bank Holiday, is a special occasion for the people of Carrickmacross. Indeed the committee, both past and present, believe there is something for all tastes and everyone is catered for. A hard-working group of local volunteers have offered their time and efforts. In addition to the support of Monaghan County Council and businesses in the area. Thus making this one of Ireland's most popular family festivals.
