Local councillor calls on support for 'Luke's Law'. A Co Cavan councillor has brought a motion to Cavan County council. The motion calls on the local authority to support Luke's Law.
34 year old Luke Hyde died after he got into difficulty while swimming in the north channel of the River Lee in Cork in April of this year.
Since then his family have campaigned for the recording of tragic accidents to be made illegal. Tragically, video footage of Luke's final moments recorded and shared on social media
