Local councillor says mature conversation needed surrounding cannabis. A mature conversation about decriminalising cannabis needed in this country. That's according to local Sinn Fein councillor, Stiofan Conaty. Indeed, he believes the time is right for this discussion.
Moreoever, he says that as cannabis is illegal here, it has driven people to the black market. Therefore, making criminals out of decent hardworking people. Furthermore, Cllr Conaty's call comes as concerns are raised around the number of young people accessing treatment for synthetic cannabis.
