Local man 'gives back' to SOSAD by cycling from Cavan to Wales. Connor Kelly is cycling from Cavan to Snowdonia in Wales to climb Mt Snowdon and cycle back home to Cavan.
The round trip distance is 368km and it's all in aid of SOSAD.
Last night the Cavan native cycled to catch the ferry in Dublin and then from Hollyhead, the 32 year old will cycle to the foothills of Mt Snowdon to climb the 1085 meters to the summit of the mountain. He will then cycle back home to Cavan Town and he hopes to return home at 2pm at the square on Main Street in Cavan town.
It's all in aid of raising awareness surrounding mental health and addiction. Conor says he used the SOSAD service and knows first-hand what the service has done for him.
He said this is a way to give back to the local service. Connor joined Ronan Gargan from Wales on the Wider View earlier today.
