Indeed, they are expecting this warning will stay in place until Midday Thursday. Moreover, Cavan County Council issued a statement to say salting crews are mobilised and treating priority routes.
However, it is warning that salting is not a guarantee that "normal speed" can be achieved; and people should exercise caution at all times.
