Listen Back: Part 8 planning approved for major works at the Black Island

Part 8 planning approved for major works at the Black Island at Lough Muckno in Castlesblayney.

Indeed, the development will provide recreational enhancements at Black Island, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan.  This will include incorporating the upgrades to existing gravel paths.  Additionally there will be new picnic tables and wooden seating with new units increasing capacity. Furthermore, the addition of miscellaneous natural viewing features at rest points along with all other ancillary works at all sites required to deliver the project.

According to local councillor Aidan Campbell, €500,000 has been secured for the local amenity and he has been speaking to Ronan Gargan about this good news for the area.
