Cavan County Museum is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year when it was officially opened by the then President Mary Robinson.
A busy schedule is planned for the year which will be shortly announced.
To initiate the celebrations a special event is happening in the museum this Saturday morning from 11am to 1pm.

The Museum Curator Ann Gerety Smyth is looking to hear from locals about their memories down through the years of the museum.
She is looking to see if anyone that has any memorabilia, photos or stories to share them on the day of the coffee morning.
Ann says the county museum holds a special place in people's hearts across Cavan and beyond and she joined Ronan Gargan on the show to tell us more about the event.
