Two men, aged in their 30s, have appeared in court charged in connection with the discovery of a cannabis grow house in Co Monaghan on Monday. Gardai attached to the Detective Branch in Monaghan assisted by the Dog Unit and members of the Armed Support Unit searched a property under warrant as part of Operation Tara.
During proceedings, a quantity of cannabis plants and suspected cannabis herb were discovered. The two men were arrested under drug trafficking legislation and after being detained and questioned at a local garda station, were subsequently charged.
Investigations into the matter are continuing.
