A Cavan woman says flight from Greece to Dublin delayed for 55 hours was "very frustrating"

A Cavan woman was delayed by 55 and a half hours after her return flight from Greece to Dublin was cancelled last weekend.

Karen Ward was due to arrive home on Sunday after a well deserved trip to the sun when she was told at the airport that her flight was cancelled.

Passengers were informed they would be accommodated in a nearby hotel until an alternative flight was organised.

However, it was over 55 hours later when Karen found herself aboard a flight to Dublin that actually took off.

Karen says she found the lack of information throughout the ordeal to be "very frustrating".
