'Cavan Calling is an opportunity to celebrate all things Cavan'. That's according to Cathaoirleach of the local authority, Cllr John Paul Feely, who launched the festival 2023 at an event in Crover House yesterday.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Cllr Feely highlighted the "extensive" line up of events planned, including headline act the Boomtown Rats. He said the Festival will be inclusive and open to everyone.
Cllr Feely added that it will bring people together from across the world and provide them with a unique opportunity to celebrate the landscape and culture of Co Cavan. "Whether you are like the Boomtown Rats and can count a Cusack from Ballyjamesduff among your membership or part of a new community living in our county, you are welcome to participate in Cavan Calling.
"And, you are part of the rich tapestry that makes up our county," said the Cathaoirleach.
