Boris Johnson will stand down as British Prime Minister, following a string of protests against his leadership.

Embattled British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has agreed to step down following mounting pressure.

He's due to make a statement later today confirming his decision.

Almost 60 MPs have now quit their government jobs.

The revolt was triggered by details of what Mr Johnson knew of sexual misconduct allegations against MP Chris Pincher.

Cabinet Office minister Michael Ellis says he'll speak soon.
